Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab Recovery position requiring 1+ year of experience and AL or compact RN licensure.

Details
  • Work in the Cath Lab/CVR Recovery unit of a Level II Trauma Center with a Level III NICU and Primary Stroke Center
  • 16-bed unit with a 1:3 patient ratio
  • Patient population includes STEMI, NSTEMI, CHF, PE, Angina, ACS, and afib cases
  • Uses Cerner EMR, Plum 360 IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Spacelabs monitors
  • 12-hour mid shifts (starting 11:30AM) totaling 36 standard hours per week
  • On-call required every 4th weekend
  • No floating required
Requirements
  • Active RN license (AL or compact) required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
  • Skilled in pre and post op care, groin management, A-lines, radial bands, TEE, and cardioversions
Additional Information
  • Provide recovery care for cardiac catheterization and CVR patients
  • New-to-facility and returning travelers (gone 1+ years) receive 24 hours of classroom orientation and 24 hours on the unit
  • Holiday coverage required for one major and one minor seasonal holiday per policy
  • Scrub colors required: Ceil blue or red/black
  • Parking available in a parking deck
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility to be considered, as local candidates are not accepted
  • Former perm staff must wait 6 months before being considered as a traveler
