Job description

Hello! We are looking for a dedicated Box Packaging Team Member I to join the family! Del Real Foods is a traditional Mexican food manufacturer born out of a family farm. Today, Del Real Food makes tamales, carnitas, salsas, and other recipes inspired by the Cardenas' native Jalisco -- all created by hand with fresh ingredients and nothing artificial.

The Box Pack team member works under close supervision the employee performs a full range of packing assignments using a supervisor or other higher-level guidance at all products leave the plant in compliance with consumer expectations. The employee will provide support to the Packing team on pulling, staging, organizing, and casing the final product. This position will support the packing team in reducing downtime online change over’s and assure peak packing line efficiency.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Follow all safety procedures

2. Being able to perform all activities relating to product management. (Counting, Packing, Sealing, and putting the product into boxes or trays)

3. Always work with good manufacturing practices.

4. Preferably, be knowledgeable in mathematics

5. Ensure that all procedures and work instructions are followed, to maintain product safety for all customers.

6. Check date codes stamped, and weight information against the daily schedule.

7. Check the appearance of the product and assure that it meets the established parameters and customer expectations.

8. Transport products in racks from one area of production to the next, including but not limited to freezers, chill tanks, and hot pack areas.

9. Assist in the product packaging process, including palletizing.

10. Must reassure that pouches are properly sealed during the packaging process

11. Must have a positive attitude when helping peers, leaders, or supervisors.

12. Assist the packing team in the completion of their orders: assistance will be given to this accomplishment by all supervisors and leads.

13. Clean and maintain assigned area in safe sanitary condition, ensuring product safety

14. Maintain hygiene, follow GMPs, follow SQF and USDA guidelines

15. Verify that equipment is in good working condition.

16. Effectively operate plant equipment


Requirements and Duties:

  • Must be responsible and fast learner.
  • Knowledgeable in mathematics
  • Must have good organization skills

Education/Experience:

  1. High School (able to read write)
  2. Minimum 1-2 years’ experience on the field (Food Industry is a plus)
