Job description

Position Summary:
As an employee of the Bank, supports company culture and mission statement to "Have a Positive Impact on People's Lives". Services the needs of the customers by greeting them appropriately, processing their transactions promptly and accurately, recognizing sales opportunities and referring business accordingly and thanking each customer by name.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Process Teller Transactions
  1. Process savings, checking, time deposits transactions.
  2. Process customer loan payments, safe deposit box payments savings bond redemptions and cash advance requests.
  3. Issue personal money orders and cashiers checks.
  4. Balance and verify cash drawer.
  5. Wrap coin and currency.
  6. Assist with the processing of daily imaging and corrections.
  7. Maintain branch ATM/ITM machine.
  8. Perform branch opening and closing duties.
  9. Maintain postage stamp inventory.
  10. Order checks and deposit tickets for customers.
  11. Assist customers with imaging research and balancing accounts.
  12. Identify and report potential fraudulent customer activity.
  13. Follow appropriate bank policies, procedures and regulatory compliance when completing transactions.
  14. Evaluate and place holds when necessary for transactions.
  15. Add and perform maintenance on customer and non-customer information profiles.
  16. Perform safe deposit box duties.
  17. Assist with online banking and 24 hour banker inquiries.
  18. Perform vault teller duties and assist with weekly buy and sell branch cash order.
  19. Perform maintenance on automatic funds transfers, stop payments and overdraft sweep protections.
  20. Perform EFT card inquiries, travel alerts, debit card reorder and prepare card fraud documentation.
  21. Perform document scanning duties.
  22. Perform domestic and foreign wire transfers.

2. Cross Sell Bank Services
  1. Promote products and services of the Bank including deposits, loans, and investment services.
  2. Refer interested customers to appropriate departments.
  3. Answer customer inquiries in regard to new and existing accounts.
  4. Attend training and sales meetings as assigned.

3. Act as a Receptionist
  1. Answer incoming phone inquiries and transfer to appropriate personnel if necessary.
  2. Greet branch customers, answer inquiries and direct them to the appropriate personnel.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Strong people skills required. Cash handling, problem solving, and previous customer service skills desired. Must be detail oriented, organized, and able to handle multiple tasks. Able handle confidential information and positively represent the company.
