Shift Coordinator - Trolley Square, Salt Lake City, New Shop Opening!
Earn ~$25/hr ($17 + tips)
Salt & Straw is expanding to Salt Lake City!
We're on the lookout for experienced Shift Coordinators to help launch our first Utah shops, create unforgettable guest experiences, and support Scoopers in delivering legendary hospitality. You'll play a key role in bringing Salt & Straw to a new community, coaching team members, and making every guest interaction memorable.
What Shift Coordinators Do
Shift Coordinators keep the shop running smoothly by supporting people, operations, and guest experience.
You will:
  • Guide Scoopers throughout the shift, delegating tasks and ensuring breaks, station rotations, and safety habits are followed
  • Support daily operations: scooping, waffling, running the register, dishwashing, cleaning, and hosting
  • Deliver exceptional service, thoughtfully resolving guest concerns
  • Coordinate opening, closing, and daily shop tasks to maintain operational excellence
  • Assist in training, coaching, and modeling best practices for team members
  • Pack Third-Party Delivery orders with accuracy and attention to quality
  • Conduct inventory counts, monitor product quality, and maintain food safety standards
  • Handle daily cash transactions accurately and follow cash handling protocols
  • Track team feedback and operational notes in daily logbooks
  • Taste and learn our flavors to confidently share with guests
  • Foster a positive, engaging work environment that reflects Salt & Straw's mission and values

What You'll Get
