As the Card Specialistat our Melbourne Headquarters you will support the growth, maintenance, and overall management of Space Coast Credit Union's debit and credit card portfolios by delivering exceptional member service. Key responsibilities include resolving member inquiries, managing card statuses and orders, detecting and preventing fraud, performing file maintenance, processing member requests through workflow systems, handling account adjustments and reconciliations, and performing other critical tasks essential to the success of our card programs.

Card Specialist I Key Responsibilities

  • Provides phone support in our General Servicing queue to front-line team members and other departments across the organization that require department-specific assistance, and assist members directly when appropriate.
  • Processes all general servicing debit and credit card requests submitted via various department workflows.
  • Verifies, reviews, and takes appropriate action(s) on automated member debit and credit fraud alerts.
  • Assists with concerns regarding various debit and credit card statuses; such as activations, blocks, and restrictions.
  • Assists with debit and credit card orders; such as new cards, replacement cards, tracking information, and any other aspects pertaining to card orders.
  • Assists with card production documentation, card inventory, supply management, and recurring machine maintenance critical to production operations.

Card Specialist I Requirements

  • 1 to 12 months of prior experience in credit and debit card services or a similar field preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Card Specialist I Compensation

  • Starting Salary: $17.91 - $18.97/hour or $37,250 - $39,460 /year
  • Bonus Opportunity: Eligible for ONE SCCU Annual Bonus.

Work Schedule

  • Monday – Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
