Wanting to volunteer your time to help patients and families in your community? Comfortable using computers and wanting to get some experience in the healthcare field? Then perhaps this opportunity is for you!

Adoration Hospice provides palliative care to terminal patients during end of life. This care primarily takes place in the home, with multiple disciplines making visits to the home. Some of our patients are in other settings, such as assisted living facilities, personal care homes, and nursing homes. Our disciplines focus on comfort care ranging from clinical care to spiritual care and everything in between. Our volunteers play a vital role to our patients and families as well.

We are looking for volunteers who are available to assist on a weekly basis to provide companionship and respite to patients and families. Caregiving is a full-time job and they can always use a friend! Interacting with patients can include reading, listening to music together, sharing stories, watching TV, playing card games, etc. Not responsible for clinical care (bathing, feeding, turning, changing, handling medication).

Adequate education and training will be provided. We look forward to working together to assist our patients and families in the community!
