Job Purpose

The Associate Director, Market Insights leads commercial analytics, market insights, forecasting, and competitive intelligence for Pharmacosmos Therapeutics. This role translates market dynamics, customer behavior, patient trends, competitive developments, and business performance data into actionable insights that inform brand strategy, commercial execution, lifecycle planning, and senior leadership decision-making.

The role also advances the organizationโ€™s analytics capabilities, including patient finding, opportunity identification, alerts, customer prioritization, market research, forecasting, and performance measurement, while managing and developing the Manager, Market Insights.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead analysis of brand performance, market trends, customer behavior, patient dynamics, payer influences, and business drivers to identify risks, opportunities, and actionable recommendations.
  • Develop and enhance patient-finding, opportunity identification, customer prioritization, and alert-based analytics to support more targeted commercial execution.
  • Oversee dashboards, reports, alerts, and ad hoc analyses used by Commercial, Marketing, Market Access, Medical, Finance, and senior leadership.
  • Conduct secondary data and behavioral analyses of HCPs, accounts, patients, and payers to understand business performance, referral dynamics, source of business, account opportunity, and customer prioritization.
  • Lead forecasting activities, including product forecasts, assumptions, scenario planning, sensitivity analyses, and communication of key forecast drivers.
  • Evaluate and integrate available data sources, including claims, sales, financial data, market research, syndicated market data, account-level data, patient data, and other third-party data assets.
  • Lead market research and insight generation to assess brand performance, customer perceptions, market barriers, patient access dynamics, and emerging opportunities.
  • Develop and manage an inline competitive intelligence process for marketed products, including monitoring competitor strategy, market events, pricing and access dynamics, clinical developments, promotional activity, and potential disruptive forces.
  • Synthesize market research, competitive intelligence, and analytics into clear business implications for brand strategy, forecasting, account planning, and commercial execution.
  • Partner with Marketing, Medical, Market Access, Finance, Commercial, Compliance, and leadership to ensure insights incorporate relevant clinical, commercial, access, regulatory, customer, and financial perspectives.
  • Provide analytical support for business development, pipeline, lifecycle, or market expansion opportunities as needed, including market sizing, competitive landscape review, forecast support, and commercial assessment.
  • Manage relationships with external data, analytics, market research, and competitive intelligence partners to ensure high-quality outputs, sound methodology, and efficient execution.
  • Manage and develop the Manager, Market Insights, providing direction, coaching, prioritization, and quality oversight across analytics, reporting, research, and insight-generation work.
  • Maintain discretion and appropriate handling of confidential business, patient, customer, financial, and competitive information.
  • Stay current and in compliance with all corporate policies, mandated government regulations, and company procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education & Professional Background
  • BS/BA degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a role directly related to commercial insights or a similar function such as market research, data analytics, forecasting, competitive intelligence or commercial strategy.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, with a strong understanding of commercial, regulatory, market access, and operational considerations.
  • Buy-and-bill OR HEM/ONC experience preferred.
  • Experience with claims, patient-level data, specialty pharmacy/hub data, syndicated or other secondary data; familiarity with AI-enabled analytics, automation, or insight-generation tools preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize and deliver results under tight timelines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey data, insights, and recommendations across the organization.
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen
  • Must be proficient with all MS Office applications; advanced Excel skills required.
