Budget Rent a Car of Birmingham is looking to hire a Service Manager.

The ideal candidate will have prior manager experience in maintenance, and damage repair.

Manage the daily operation of the maintenance, and damage function for cars/trucks to monitor and control related expenses. Provide service to internal and external customers. Select outside vendors for purchases of parts and repair (mechanical and body). Manage technician performance, enforce safety standards, and handle budgeting/preventive maintenance to minimize vehicle downtime. Sets goals for technician productivity, monitors repair orders, and reduces “percent out of service” metrics. Maintain the maintenance shop in a safe and professional manner, ensuring compliance with OSHA and other regulatory agencies.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications

· Clean Driving Record

· Automotive Knowledge & Background in Automotive Repairs

· 2+ years of management experience, preferably in a rental car, automotive shop, service orientated field

· Able To Lift 70lbs.

· 18 Years of Age or Older

· Valid Drivers License

· Excellent Mechanical Knowledge

· 2-5 Plus Years Manager Experience
