This position focuses on inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and reconditioning used vehicles to ensure they meet dealership standards and are ready for sale.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform used-vehicle inspections and repairs efficiently and according to dealership standards
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, steering, suspension, brake, air-conditioning, engine, and transmission concerns
  • Complete used-car reconditioning work accurately and within established turnaround-time expectations
  • Perform road tests and use diagnostic tools and special service equipment
  • Identify additional repairs needed to make vehicles safe and ready for retail sale
  • Provide accurate parts and labor estimates for recommended repairs
  • Communicate repair needs and completion status to the Used Car Service Advisor or management team
  • Complete repair orders with clear and accurate technician documentation
  • Perform recalls, software updates, and applicable certification inspections
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Previous automotive technician experience
  • Strong automotive diagnostic and repair background
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced reconditioning environment
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to complete repairs accurately and meet production expectations
  • Must provide or maintain the tools required for the position
  • Willing to submit to a drug screen and background check
  • Clean and valid driver’s license
  • ASE certifications preferred, but not required
