To thrive as a Car Rental Shuttle Driver, you need a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and familiarity with local roads and traffic regulations. Experience operating passenger vans or shuttle buses and using dispatch or GPS navigation systems is often required. As a rental car shuttle driver, you transport individuals from a rental car lot to the rental car office, or from a public transit area, like an airport, to the rental car office. Your responsibilities are to safely transport customers to and from locations, observing all relevant traffic laws, to see to the ongoing maintenance of your vehicle, and to document any incidents or accidents during transit. You might drive a taxi, a bus, or a limo, depending on your employer’s needs and the number of customers requiring transport. Other duties include cleaning your vehicle, dropping the shuttle back off at the lot after a shift, and keeping a log of your daily activities.
A Car Rental Shuttle Driver is responsible for transporting customers between airport terminals, rental car locations, and other designated pickup and drop-off points. They ensure passengers have a safe and comfortable ride while assisting with luggage and providing information about the rental process. Shuttle drivers must have excellent customer service skills, a valid driver's license, and knowledge of local traffic laws. Some employers may require a clean driving record and the ability to operate larger vehicles like buses or vans.
A typical day as a Car Rental Shuttle Driver involves transporting customers between rental car facilities, airport terminals, and parking lots, often on a set schedule or as demand requires. Our Shuttle Drivers work a flexible, laid-back position available driving cars between Budget locations as a part of our Distribution network. Drivers move cars between the airport and other locations, and the maintenance bay.
Drivers work 2-3 days a week, Part-Time. We have multiple shifts open, but weekends and evenings preferred.
