Job description

Maintenance Mechanic

Santa Rosa, CA | Full-Time | $26.00 - $32.00 per hour DOE
Join a growing manufacturing team where your mechanical and troubleshooting expertise will play a vital role in keeping production running efficiently. We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic II to maintain, repair, and improve manufacturing equipment while supporting preventative maintenance initiatives, equipment reliability, and continuous process improvements in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment according to scheduled maintenance plans.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment.
  • Document maintenance activities and preventative maintenance records using the company's maintenance management system.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of replacement parts, tools, and maintenance supplies.
  • Identify, source, and install replacement components necessary for equipment repairs.
  • Fabricate or modify parts and equipment to improve machine performance and reliability.
  • Assist with equipment upgrades, automation projects, and continuous improvement initiatives that increase productivity and reduce downtime.
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, OSHA regulations, and quality standards.
  • Work collaboratively with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve equipment issues quickly.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office applications for documentation, communication, and reporting.
  • Perform additional maintenance duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance or maintenance mechanic experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Working knowledge of both metric and standard tools and fasteners.
  • Ability to adapt to changing production priorities and maintenance schedules.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
  • Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Outlook, Teams, and Microsoft Office.
  • Solid understanding of electrical safety practices and lockout/tagout procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree or coursework in Electronics or a related technical field.
  • Experience working in an ISO-certified manufacturing environment.
  • Experience supporting automation or lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequently bend, stoop, squat, climb, reach, and perform repetitive movements.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Work safely around manufacturing equipment and machine shop environments, including occasional exposure to noise, dust, and other industrial conditions.
  • Occasionally perform computer work for documentation and reporting.
