Job description

JOB TITLE: Material Handler
Club Car boasts a 60+ year history of industry-leading innovation and design. Initially focused on golf cars, it expanded to commercial utility vehicles and personal-use transportation.
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Under general supervision, distributes either production or non-production items and materials to various locations throughout the plant. Materials may consist of purchased parts, in-process parts, or finished golf cars and utility vehicles.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Moves parts or finished products and delivers mail packages to various department locations and/or warehouse locations.
  • Operates material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and rolling carts or may move golf cars and utility vehicles to and from the yard.
  • Maintains the required paperwork and documentation of all parts and materials moved in accordance with the specified procedures.
  • Ensures work areas and other designated work areas are maintained in a safe and neat manner.
  • Assists with the training and instruction of new employees who may be assigned to this area.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintains a safe and productive work environment by ensuring the work area is clear of tools, brooms, debris, and other items that may present a hazard.
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
  • Must be able to work overtime as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
Education:
  • High School Diploma/Equivalent required.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Must be able to read and write in English.
Experience:
  • Working knowledge of material handling equipment and warehouse operations preferred.
KEY COMPETENCIES

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Requires occasional lifting of objects of objects 25 to 50 pounds.
