Job description

Job Title: Parts Counter Salesperson

Reports to: Parts Manager

Job Description:

The Parts Counter Salesperson is responsible for assisting customers in finding the appropriate part for

their vehicle while providing the utmost customer service.

1. Read catalogs or computer in order to determine replacement part stock numbers and prices.

2. Receive and fill telephone orders for parts.

3. Fill customer orders from stock or order.

4. Fill service departments order from stock or order.

5. Prepare sales slips or sales contracts.

6. Receive payment or obtain credit authorization.

7. Issue spare and replacement parts, equipment and expandable items used in maintenance shop.

8. Take inventory of parts and equipment and maintain inventory records.

9. May drive to pick up incoming stock or pick up and deliver parts to units in other building or

locations.

10. Sell auto parts and aftermarket items to customers.

11. Treat members of the public in a courteous and non-discriminatory manner.

12. Work in cooperative and professional manner with all personnel and conform to the companyโ€™s

policy and non-discrimination and harassment.

13. Maintain a professional demeanor when on the job.

14. Perform other tasks as assigned.
