Automotive Service Technician

Pay: $33.80–$42.00 per hour (based on experience and certifications)

Car Pros Kia Huntington Beach is looking for an experienced Automotive Service Technician who takes pride in delivering quality workmanship and outstanding customer service. If you're a motivated technician with strong diagnostic and repair skills—and Kia certification is a plus—we'd love to hear from you.

As a member of our service team, you'll work in a fast-paced, professional environment with the latest diagnostic equipment while helping keep our customers safely on the road.

What You'll Do

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain Kia and other automotive vehicles.
• Perform repairs on engines, transmissions, differentials, brakes, steering, suspension, electrical systems, and other vehicle components.
• Inspect vehicles and accurately identify mechanical concerns.
• Use diagnostic equipment, technical manuals, and manufacturer procedures to complete repairs.
• Road test vehicles before and after repairs when necessary.
• Install and repair vehicle accessories and components.
• Maintain accurate repair quality while following all manufacturer and dealership standards.
• Keep a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all OSHA and dealership safety guidelines.
• Work collaboratively with service advisors, managers, and fellow technicians.
• Deliver professional, courteous service to customers and coworkers.
• Follow all Car Pros policies, procedures, dress code, and compliance requirements.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience as an Automotive Service Technician required.
• Kia certification is a plus.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and repair procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality repairs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Relevant automotive certifications or technical training preferred.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Equipment & Tools You'll Use

You'll work with professional automotive equipment including:

• Hydraulic lifts and jacks
• Engine hoists
• Brake lathes
• Tire service equipment
• Welding equipment
• Mechanical and hydraulic presses
• Diagnostic scanners
• Hand and air tools
• Precision measuring equipment

Physical Requirements

This position requires:

• Frequently lifting up to 50 pounds
• Carrying up to 25 pounds
• Standing, bending, kneeling, twisting, reaching, and using hand tools throughout the workday
• Operating vehicles and performing road tests as needed
• Working in a shop environment with exposure to weather, dust, fumes, noise, vibration, and automotive chemicals while following established safety procedures
