What is car dealership photo editing?

Car dealership photo editing involves enhancing and retouching images of vehicles to be used in online listings, advertisements, and marketing materials. This process can include background removal or replacement, color correction, glare reduction, and adding dealership branding. The goal is to make the cars look attractive and professional, helping dealerships attract more potential buyers. High-quality photos can significantly improve a vehicle's online presence and increase the chances of a sale.

What are some typical challenges faced in a car dealership photo editing role and how can they be managed?

One common challenge in Car Dealership Photo Editing is maintaining consistency and high quality across large volumes of vehicle images, especially when multiple photographers and varied lighting conditions are involved. To manage this, editors often use standardized templates and color correction presets, and may collaborate closely with the photography team to establish clear guidelines. Tight turnaround times are also frequent, so strong organizational skills and workflow automation tools are crucial. Regular feedback from sales and marketing teams helps ensure images meet both brand standards and customer expectations.

Job description

Job Title: Social Media and Content Specialist
Location: Louisville, KY (Hybrid)

Company Overview
When you leave home each day, you take 3 things: your phone, wallet, and keys.

Each of these is a multibillion-dollar industry because everyone uses them every day. Most can be found at retail stores everywhere, but not car keys. When 275 million drivers in North America need a key, they have to go to a dealership.
We’re changing that.
Car Keys Express is the world’s leading automotive key replacement company, and we are still growing fast.
In the past decade, we have grown revenues more than 10X and have built a team of more than 1,000 across the U.S. and Canada. We operate a nationwide mobile fleet, partner with major retailers like AutoZone, Advance, and Costco, and serve both everyday drivers and large enterprise customers.
Since our founding in 2002, Car Keys Express has led nearly every major advancement in the industry, building an impressive list of world’s firsts:
  • the world’s first online store to sell car keys and remotes
  • the world’s first discount mobile key service
  • the world’s first electronic car key recycler
  • the world’s first Universal Car Remote
  • the world’s first Universal Car Key
  • the world’s first universal DIY key programmer
  • the world’s first car key replacement app
  • the world’s first car key vending machine
These breakthroughs were not accidents. They are the result of a fully integrated model that gives Car Keys Express unmatched control over design, production, and delivery.
If that sounds exciting, join us on our adventure to see which “world’s firsts” come next.

  • A supportive and inclusive work culture that values creativity, innovation, and collaboration
We are building something significant, and we are selective about who builds it with us.
Strong performance is recognized. Advancement is earned. Growth is real.
We’ve already changed how North American drivers replace car keys. Our next goal is to democratize key replacement worldwide. If you want to join a company that is still climbing, still improving, and still raising the bar, this is your opportunity.
How to Apply

In this role, you won’t just schedule posts behind a desk. You’ll be in the field, on camera, and at the center of shaping the public voice of a national automotive brand.

If you're energized by the idea of building a brand presence that feels human, sharp, and impossible to scroll past — we want to hear from you.
