Job description

You will get to take part in a 29-year history of making friends, and families' automotive visions come true. Watching a customer's face when they see how their ride turned out is the payoff. Customizing cars and trucks is fast, hands-on work, and no two days look the same.

This role runs the day-to-day of our Accessories division — the broadest service line in our 15,000 sq ft shop, covering audio, leather, remote start, security, truck bed, tint, and bolt-on accessories. You will work directly with customers and technicians to move jobs from the front counter through the install bay and out the door on time.

This is a fast-paced environment that requires planning, execution, problem-solving, and multitasking. You will handle phone and walk-in traffic, assign and monitor technician work, keep customers informed as their jobs progress, and dispatch drivers for pickups and deliveries. You keep the pace of the business moving and accounted for.

Compensation is a base salary plus a defined performance bonus tied to division results, so what you earn above base is visible and measurable from day one.

Compensation:

$60,000 - $75,000 + yearly including commission

Responsibilities:
  • Open the shop 5 days a week.
  • Schedule and assign daily work for technicians.
  • Sell auto accessories: leather packages, remote start, audio, security, truck bed, tint, and bolt-ons.
  • Monitor all scheduled work to ensure customers are kept informed as to the progress and changing conditions of their vehicles.
  • Coordinate with administration on parts ordering, job status, and billing handoffs.
  • Clear communication in person, by phone, and in writing is a must with customers, staff, and administration.
  • Superior negotiating skills used for both internal and external customers.
  • Requires a high level of planning, execution, and problem-solving on your own.
  • Ability to recognize stressful situations before they escalate so they can be diffused and the issue can be moved forward.
  • Self-starter, able to follow through on set expectations without follow-up or prompting from a supervisor.

Qualifications:
  • 2-3 years of direct customer service or retail sales experience, automotive preferred. Car Audio & Security a plus!!!
  • History of achieving and consistently exceeding goals.
  • A great conversationalist with the ability to quickly build rapport and credibility.
  • Enjoy being in a dynamic job where no task is above or below you.
  • A constant drive to improve the experience of our customers and our internal processes: "How can I make things better?"
  • Find ways to measure what's working and what's not and report progress on a regular basis.
