About the Role

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of prescription orders to patients. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Interpreting and entering prescription information in compliance with state regulations

  • Using various computer systems to process prescriptions, compare orders, and generate labels.

  • Packaging and delivering medications following standard procedures to ensure safe and secure delivery

  • Conducting quality assurance checks, reaching out to prescribers and patients when needed, and resolving third-party rejections

  • Preparing manual prescription orders by verifying information, pulling the required medications from inventory, and completing necessary scanning and packaging

Requirements

  • You have a High School Diploma / GED and you have 1+ years of prior experience in counting/packing medications and prior authorizations

  • You are a certified pharmacy technician within the state of employment

  • You are familiar with general pharmacy terminology (SIG codes, brand, and generic names of medications)

  • You are proficient with a computer and Windows PC applications and are able to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications

  • You are available to work within operating hours: Atlanta Pharmacy Hours:
    Monday - Friday 9:30PM-6:00PM, Saturday - Sunday 11:00AM - 3:00PM
