Our NORAD Operations Group
Selected by the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center's Strategic Warning and Surveillance Systems Division for Operations, Maintenance, and Sustainment (OM&S) of critical mission systems for the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Cheyenne Mountain Complex (NCMC), we support the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II).
Since 2020, through the (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II), has provided:
  • Operations, maintenance, and Sustainment of current and legacy systems for the surveillance and cataloging of manmade objects in space.
  • Mitigation of orbital conflicts.
  • Threat warnings and control from airborne, land-based, and space-based systems for threat activities.
  • Operations and maintenance of classified communications.
  • Software development and integration.

NISSC II supports the classified communications and processing for Command and Control (C2) capability and legacy space C2 systems located at:
  • Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station (CMSFS), Colorado
  • Peterson Space Force Base (PSFB), Colorado
  • Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska
  • Vandenberg Space Force Base, California
  • Numerous sensor and forward operator sites around the world

Description of Duties:
Amentum is actively seeking a highly motivated Project Coordinator to join our dynamic team in support of the NISSC II contract. As a Project Coordinator, you will play a vital role in the development, enhancement, and sustainment of critical missile warning and/or space systems. Working in a closed lab environment, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the modernization and maintenance of legacy systems, ensuring their continued reliability and functionality. The Project Coordinator provides non-routine administrative assistance of substantial variety and complexity. Serves as an organizational authority, in areas of administrative responsibility. Develops, recommends, and implements timely completion of functions to satisfy the company's requirements, which may include scheduling of material, man-hours, or information services. Typical duties include:
  • Cross-functional communication, support with help with cross-functional support for/across multiple Teams.
  • Monitor and attend daily/weekly meeting.
  • Attend and take notes for classified meetings to understand what is being communicated at the team level that may impact Work Order/Project Work.
  • Meeting Coordination and ensuring the necessary information is available for various teams and leadership to enable execution.
  • Prioritize and resolve Cyber Information Planning Systems (CIPS) activity In-Accordance-With (IAW) assigned priority levels.
  • Review assigned Electronic/CIPS (larger projects/scope/budgetary/schedule) requests and support site surveys.
  • Draft/Submit Technical Solutions and costing.
  • Familiarization with implementation/integration processes.
  • Devise/draft Bill-of-Materials/Rough-Orders of Magnitude.
  • Tracking Material Orders (MO), expectation of delivery, and creating Purchase Orders (PO).

This position is expected to pay $70,000-$82,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
This position will be filled and work onsite at Colorado Springs, CO (Cheyenne Mtn. SFB).

Basic Requirements:
  • Must have an active Secret.
  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1 years of directly related experience.
  • 2 years of work history.
  • Experienced with requirement software tools, plans, schedules, and coordination of detailed phases of work through the selection and adaptation or modification of techniques, procedures, and criteria.
  • Proven working experience in project management in the information technology sector.
  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in network communications processes and technologies.
  • Demonstrated excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
  • Good oral/written communication skills and analytical capabilities.
