Job description

Duties & Responsibilities
Under direction of the SVP/Chief Nurse Executive or designee, serves as Senior Project Manager with considerable latitude of initiative and judgment. Performs highly confidential and exceptionally difficult, complex and responsible work.
Examples of Typical Tasks:
  1. Collect, review, analyze, validate and interpret quality and related data as required with the ability to follow project timeline
  2. Collaborate and coordinate with relevant internal departments and external stakeholders for implementation and follow up on various projects
  3. Contribute at report generation, data analysis, prepare root cause analysis diagram and help senior management with presentation and meeting preparation
  4. Assist cross functional teams through project life cycle phases, document requirements gathering, assemble project plans and teamwork assignments, reporting, directing and monitoring on daily stand up meetings making sure that the deadlines are met
  5. Assist with large number of workgroups across the facilities to implement and roll out of several Initiative across all 11 Hospitals, 5 Post-Acute facilities, Gotham and Correctional Health
  6. Maintain effective communication and coordinate timely transfer of information
  7. Contribute on projects related to Nursing Education, Safe Patient Handling Initiatives, Learning Management System, Care Delivery Model and Clinical Ladder implementation
  8. Participate in all special projects as needed and
  9. Makes confidential contact with health care executives and serves as liaison between senior leadership within NYC Health + Hospitals, external offices, and/or agencies.
  10. Performs related work, as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
1. Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Business or Public Administration, Healthcare Management, Engineering, Social Sciences, Physical Sciences or a related discipline; and four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in projects and programs management, execution, and implementation, two (2) years of which must have been in the administration, management and/or execution of projects and programs of various complexities, including work in health care program planning, research, design or a related area; or
2. Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in one of the disciplines as listed in 1 above or a related discipline; and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience as described in 1 above, three (3) of which must have been in the administration, management and/or execution of projects and programs of various complexities, including work in health care program planning, research, design or a related area; or
3. Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in a discipline listed in 1 above or in a related discipline; and possession of a valid, professional certification listed below; and four (4) years of experience as described in 1 above, two (2) years of which must have been in the administration, management and/or execution of projects and programs of various complexities, including work in health care program planning, research, design or a related area.

b. Program Management Professional (PgMP).
c. Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM).
d. Lean Six Sigma (LSS), green belt or above.
e. Certified ScrumMaster (CSM).
f. SAFe Agilist (SA).
