ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Project Finance team plays a critical role in crystalizing the investment value for Primergyโ€™s portfolio of utility-scale solar PV and battery storage projects. Our role is to provide strategic thought leadership to the various business units while continuously optimizing and refining Primergyโ€™s capital markets strategy. We represent the company at the highest level in securing highly structured and disciplined capital.

We are expanding the execution capacity within the Project Finance team to enable the company to originate, structure and execute on multiple complex financings in parallel across a rapidly maturing pipeline of construction-ready assets. Reporting directly to the Head of Project Finance, the Project Finance Manager will be responsible for providing primary execution support for Primergyโ€™s capital markets transactions across debt, tax equity, tax credit transfer sales, structured equity and corporate financings. As a key member of the Project Finance team, the Manager will work closely with senior members of the team to drive capital raises, transaction execution, and broader financing strategy, as well as partnering with teams across the Primergy platform (Origination, Development, Legal and Operations). They will also develop and maintain key relationships with lenders, tax equity investors, institutional investors, and brokers

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Provide primary support on execution of project finance transactions across Primergyโ€™s portfolio, including debt, tax equity, tax credit transfer sales and structured equity financings
  • Lead financial modeling workflows and structured analyses to evaluate various financial structures and project valuations to enable the development, construction, and operations of solar and battery storage projects
  • Lead diligence processes and coordinate the timely delivery of information, analyses, and documentation required by financing counterparties and various transaction consultants
  • Coordinate and drive cross-functional workstreams across commercial strategy, development, legal, controllership, tax, and operations teams throughout the financing lifecycle
  • Provide day-to-day guidance and support to junior team members fostering skill development, transaction execution, and knowledge sharing
  • Support the preparation of memorandum and presentations for board and investment committee approvals, including recommendations, transaction updates, and key risk assessments
  • Perform quality assurance on economic metrics going to board and investment committee to support project development decision-making
  • Build, develop, and maintain relationships with key financial partners including lenders, tax equity investors, institutional investors, external counsel, and technical advisors to optimize financing outcomes and support future capital strategy

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Direct experience supporting live project finance power/renewables/infrastructure transactions as a renewables sponsor, project finance lender, infrastructure debt provider, tax equity investor or investment advisor
  • Demonstrated experience performing complex financial modeling of project finance power/renewables/infrastructure transactions

  • Comfort and expertise in quantitative analyses with rigorous attention to detail in financial modeling and a strong understanding of project finance, valuation, and capital markets concepts
