This position is primarily responsible for the development and implementation of strategies designed to source, identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward current and prospective corporate, government, and foundation grants. The professional in this role will be focused on securing grant funding to support a wide range of Saint Agnes Medical Center (SAMC) programs, service lines, and capital campaign initiatives. This position is responsible for developing and submitting funding proposals to foundations, organizations, and government entities as well as identifying programmatic and capital needs in alignment with Philanthropic priorities. Utilizing the database, the role manages an active portfolio of prospects, prepares gift proposals and agreements, and tracks donor and prospect interactions, including the submission of funding applications. The position works closely with the SAMC donor community, administrative leadership, and community stakeholders. Individual grant-writing goals are established annually in collaboration with the Chief Development Officer to support annual philanthropic revenue goals benefiting SAMC. This includes SAMC, Saint Agnes Medical Foundation, and Central Valley Health Plan as needed.

Requirements

1.Bachelor's degree with emphasis on research and writing; preferably in grants development or journalism, communications, marketing public administration, public health, political science, or related field is required.

2.Five (5) years progressive work experience in foundation/fund development or related field is required.

3.Experience in direct sourcing, solicitation and securing grant funding, asking for and closing of gifts and building/maintaining long-term relationships with fundraising constituents, aimed at a higher level of funding is required.

4.Experience interacting with high level Fresno community leaders and influencers, senior leadership and executive board within a community benefit organization, preferably a hospital is required.

5.Excellent written and oral communication skills, including editing, electronic and social media, and computer efficiency is required.

6. Flexibility and willingness to work with energy to accomplish given goals are required

7.Must demonstrate Saint Agnes Core Values; reverence, commitment to those experiencing poverty, justice, stewardship, integrity, and safety.

8. Proficient in working discreetly with highly sensitive and confidential information is required

Pay Range 73,049 - $109,553
