JOB RESPONSIBILITIESย 

The Assistant General Manager supports the General Manager by:ย 

  1. Holding regular briefings and meetings with all department heads.ย 

  1. Ensuring full compliance with hotel operating controls, SOPs, policies, procedures, and service standards.ย 

  1. Overseeing capital projects, customer service, and property refurbishment.ย 

  1. Handling guest complaints and supervising service recovery processes.ย 

  1. Preparing, presenting, and achieving the hotelโ€™s Operating Budget, Marketing & Sales Plan, and Capital Budget.ย 

  1. Managing hotel profitability while exceeding revenue and guest satisfaction targets.ย 

  1. Making decisions in the bestย interestย of the hotel and management team.ย 

  1. Monitoring daily business reports and adjusting operations as needed.ย 

  1. Ensuringย accurateย monthly financial outlooks for all departments.ย 

  1. Maximizing room yield and hotel revenue through innovative sales strategies and management programs.ย 

  1. Overseeing and supporting all hotel departments.ย 

  1. Providing strong leadership to hotel team members.ย 

  1. Responding to audits to ensure continual operational improvement.ย 

  1. Assistingย in sales and developing strong sales prospects.ย 

  1. Safeguarding operational quality during internal and external audits.ย 

  1. Complying withย legal, OSHA, fire safety, and other regulatory requirements.ย 

  1. Performing deep-cleaning tasks and special projects, as needed.ย 

  1. Assistingย with guest room cleaning when necessary.ย 

  1. Completing all brand-specific training within the requiredย timeframe.ย 

  1. Achieving and exceeding guest satisfaction scores.ย 

  1. Maintaining confidentiality of financial, guest, and employee information.ย

SCHEDULING EXPECTATIONSย 

The Assistant General Manager willย workย a variety of front desk shifts, including night audit. Weekend and occasional holiday work isย required, withย additionalย duties assigned as needed by the General Manager.ย 

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEย 

  1. 2-year degree in hotel management or related field, or equivalent hotel experienceย 

  1. Excellent computer skillsย 

  1. Customer service backgroundย
