Job description

We are seeking a talented EWIS (Electrical Wiring Interconnection System) Engineers with 5+ years of drawing and design experience in Siemens Capital Harness (Capital). In this role, you will be responsible for the design, integration, and maintenance of complex electrical wiring systems for aerospace platforms. You will play a key part in ensuring wiring harnesses and interconnection systems meet all functional, safety, and certification requirements while delivering high-quality engineering solutions to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed EWIS drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and harness assemblies using Siemens Capital Harness.

  • Support the full lifecycle of EWIS development, from concept through certification and production release.

  • Ensure compliance with FAA/EASA regulations, industry standards (14 CFR Part 25, AC 25.1701, SAE/AS50881), and customer requirements.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to integrate wiring harnesses into broader aircraft systems.

  • Conduct EWIS safety and separation analyses to support regulatory compliance.

  • Review supplier harness manufacturing data and provide technical oversight for build quality and installation.

  • Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, change management records, and certification deliverables.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve EWIS-related design, integration, and production issues.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience creating and managing EWIS drawings in Siemens Capital Harness.

  • Strong understanding of wiring standards, aerospace electrical system integration, and harness routing principles.

  • Experience with certification requirements for EWIS (FAA/EASA Part 25 Subpart H, AC 25.1701).

  • Excellent technical communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with other CAD/PLM tools such as CATIA V5 Electrical or Mentor Graphics.

  • Background in aerospace or defense programs, including new aircraft development or modification projects.

  • Familiarity with supplier management and manufacturing support for harness builds.
