Job Summary
Responsible for effective management and execution of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of production machinery and facility support equipment. Responsible for the direct supervision of Maintenance Department staff and coordination of all contracted vendors.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain security and safety of all contractors. This is achieved by directing the activity of all outside contractors performing maintenance related activities on location and coordinating the identification of hazard report with all contract.
Ensure facility safety and security. This is achieved by reviewing new process plans and coordinating with project engineers to determine equipment needs, layout, and operating procedures.
Ensure operator safety. This is achieved by recommending changes in policies and procedures to prevent accidents and illness, examining plans and specifications for new machinery or equipment.
Maintain production machinery and facility equipment in a high operational readiness condition.
Ensure pollution control equipment and emissions are compliant. This is achieved by the effective administration, installation, modification, inspection, and maintenance of pollution control equipment.
Ensure level of knowledge, skills, and proficiency of maintenance mechanics is maintained at a high level and meet the skill requirements needed to maximize equipment operational readiness.
Minimize maintenance and utility costs. Plans, develops, and implements new methods and procedures designed to minimize energy consumption.
Manage the maintenance workforce of 14-18 direct reports, supporting a 24/7 operation.
Ensure safe work environment by enforcing general safety policies and procedures to be followed by plant personnel in compliance with local, state, and federal OSHA rules and regulations.
