Job description

Stinson LLP is seeking an Associate with four to six years of experience to join our growing Corporate Finance Division in our Denver office.

This position provides an opportunity to join a strong and well-established corporate group serving sophisticated, national clients on dynamic and fast-paced transactions.  Attorneys in our Corporate Finance Division work on a broad range of transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, capital markets transactions, ‘34 Act compliance and reporting, venture capital and early stage investment transactions (issuer-side and investor side), private equity transactions (fund formation and governance as well as investments and exits), structured finance transactions, and investment management representations advising broker-dealers and investment advisers.

Qualified applicants will possess excellent academic credentials, will have strong writing, analytical, organizational, leadership and communication skills and will be licensed to practice in or be eligible for admission without examination in Colorado. 

The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of experience leading, managing, or substantially contributing to mergers and acquisitions, private equity investment / leveraged buyout transactions, and/or capital markets transactions. 

Additional experience with respect to corporate governance matters, venture capital investment transactions, private offerings of equity and/or debt securities, and/or providing advice with respect to Forms 10-K, 10-Q and 8-K filings and proxy statements is preferred, but not required.  Candidates should be prepared to work collaboratively on teams serving sophisticated, national clients on dynamic and fast-paced transactions.

Our associate compensation structure has two components: (1) a base salary (based on an 1850 billable hour target) and (2) a discretionary merit bonus based on performance. The base salary range for this role is $230,000 – $260,000. Offers will include a signing bonus. The salary range for this position is based on a variety of factors, including experience, skills, qualifications, and location. The range is provided as an initial approximation at the time of posting and may vary based on the individual’s unique qualifications and experience.
