Capes information

What is a cape?

Capes are sleeveless outer garments that drape over the back, arms, and sometimes the chest, fastened at the neck. Traditionally, capes have been worn for warmth, ceremonial reasons, or as a fashion statement. They have been used by various cultures throughout history and are often associated with superheroes, royalty, and clergy. In modern times, capes are primarily seen in fashion, costume design, and certain uniforms.

What are some common challenges faced by capes designers in the fashion industry?

Capes designers often face challenges such as balancing creative vision with current fashion trends and client demands. Additionally, working within tight deadlines for seasonal collections, sourcing quality materials, and ensuring precise construction for both aesthetics and function can be demanding. Designers typically collaborate closely with pattern makers, seamstresses, and marketing teams to bring their ideas to fruition, requiring strong communication and project management skills. Staying updated on industry trends and adapting to evolving consumer preferences is also essential for long-term success.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a CAPES (Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior) program administrator, and why are they important?

To thrive as a CAPES program administrator, you need a solid background in education management, policy analysis, and higher education systems, often supported by advanced degrees in education or public administration. Familiarity with academic management software, grant application systems, and data analysis tools is typically required. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication are essential soft skills for success in this role. These competencies ensure effective program coordination, compliance with regulations, and positive outcomes for academic development initiatives.

Job description

Description

Leidos is seeking a Full Stack Software Developer with expertise in modern front-end development frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue as well as back-end development using TypeScript (e.g., building RESTful APIs working with NestJS). You will support a 200+ FTE technical development program supporting the Sponsor’s IdAM/ICAM programs located on a secure network. As a Software Developer you will design, develop, and implement reliable, robust, and resilient code for systems used by the sponsor. Demonstratable working experience with development tools (e.g., Angular, React, Vue, NestJS), is strongly preferred. The Software Developer will work with an integrated team of developers, software engineers, cybersecurity engineers, database administrators, and system architects.

*** Applicants for this position are expected to have significant, hands-on software development experience. ***

Primary Responsibilities

  • Deliver Software Development products in accordance with sponsor delivered requirements
  • Support the development of enterprise software solutions within the customer’s cloud environments
  • Create test scripts and perform unit testing
  • Support Front end development using Angular
  • Support Back end development using NestJS
  • Utilize agile techniques to manage workload
  • Leverage Amazon Web Services
  • Experience creating RESTful APIs

Required Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • BS degree and 8+ years of relevant experience. Additional experience in lieu of degree.
  • Must have experience with modern front-end development frameworks (Angular, React, etc.)
  • Must be able to plan and prioritize personal tasking and be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Must be an independent thinker, capable of performing high quality work, both independently and with a team in a fast-moving environment.
  • Work with the team’s security engineer to address and mitigate security findings stemming from system security scans
  • Experience interacting with cross functional project teams including Software Development System Engineering, Security Compliance, and Quality Assurance

Desired Qualifications

  • Demonstratable working experience with containers (i.e., Docker/Podman) or their orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes)
  • Demonstratable working experience with serverless platforms (e.g., AWS Lambda)
  • Experience with security accreditation process
  • Experience working in Agile, SAFe, and Scrum environments

Come break things (in a good way). Then build them smarter.

We\'re the tech company everyone calls when things get weird. We don’t wear capes (they’re a safety hazard), but we do solve high-stakes problems with code, caffeine, and a healthy disregard for “how it’s always been done.”
