Packer Examiner-12 hour rotating shift

Primary Duties: 

  • Must follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the position
  • Maintain a constant flow of product for the area line
  • Assist with the development of new packing specifications
  • Ensure product quality meets specifications; perform quality inspections as required
  • Pack the windows onto racks using proper glass handling techniques
  • If handling raw glass; place hands on top & side, while wearing cut safe gloves, capes & aprons
  • Use extra safety precautions when placing into cullet bins or testing for quality measures
  • Ensure the Packing Specifications are being followed for each part being packed
  • Support the team during all changeovers as needed
  • Assist in trouble shooting operation failures
  • Perform 5S and housekeeping duties to maintain high standard of facility cleanliness
  • Communicate concerns, improvements and general information to others on the line
  • Assist with problem solving of manufacturing problems within the teams operations and other groups as necessary, to achieve production goals
  • Fulfill assignments/ tasks given by coordinators and team leaders
  • Train and encourage others in order to achieve team goals
  • Support safety, health, and environmental rules and lead by example
  • All other duties as assigned

  • Responsible for producing various products in accordance with all work instructions, quality, safety and environmental policies
  • Assist with problem solving of manufacturing problems by communicating with specialist, lead, supervisor or otherwise; to achieve production goals
  • Authority to initiate solutions as a result of issues discussed
  • Ensure product quality meets IATF specifications based on the position specific SOPs (standard operating procedures)
  • Perform 5S and housekeeping duties to maintain high standard of facility cleanliness
  • Assist with the development of new packing specifications
  • SPC (statistical process control) data collection as required
  • Train and encourage others in order to achieve team goals
  • Support safety, health, and environmental rules and lead by example
  • All other duties as assigned
