Job description

Signature Healthcare is seeking a qualified Orthopedic Surgeon with fellowship training in Sports Medicine Surgery to join the Department of Orthopedics within our integrated community healthcare system in Southeastern Massachusetts.

Signature Healthcare is a multi-specialty, not-for-profit healthcare organization comprised of Brockton Hospital and Signature Medical Group, with more than 150 physicians practicing across 18 ambulatory locations. Our practice location offers the ideal balance of community-based care and access to major metropolitan resources, situated within an hour of Boston, Providence, and Cape Cod.

Position Highlights

  • Fellowship-trained Orthopedic Sports Medicine Surgeon

  • Strong, established sports medicine program with opportunities to treat athletes of all ages and activity levels

  • Collaborative partnership with the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) for complex case consultation and coordinated patient care

  • Support from a fellowship-trained non-operative Sports Medicine physician with an active concussion evaluation and treatment program

  • Integrated community outreach through Signature Healthcare-employed Athletic Trainers serving local high schools and colleges

  • Orthopedic trauma call rotation of 1:5

Qualifications

Candidates must possess:

  • Completion of an accredited Orthopedic Surgery residency

  • Fellowship training in Sports Medicine

  • Board eligibility or certification through the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS/AAOS eligible)

  • Demonstrated experience and commitment to sports injury evaluation, treatment, and surgical management
