Overview
Cape Cod Central Railroad is currently hiring part-time Servers for our Brunch, Lunch and Dinner Trains! We are specifically looking for a Server available on Wednesdays for our Dinner Train! As a Server, you will play a key role in providing excellent customer service and enhancing the dining experience for our train guests. This is a seasonal position in Cape Cod - April through the end of October - primarily in Hyannis, MA, with very competitive pay. We offer opportunities for career growth and advancement within Cape Cod Central Railroad.
Duties:
  • Greet and seat customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately
  • Deliver orders promptly and ensure accuracy
  • Provide menu recommendations and answer inquiries about menu items
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders
  • Comply with all alcohol, food and beverage regulations
  • Process payments using cash registers or POS systems
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area
  • Perform multiple role(s) of server, bartender, host/hostess, and busser on occasion

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a Server required; Familiarity with a POS system preferred
  • Previous customer service or hospitality role is preferred
  • Strong balance and coordination; Must be able to carry out Server duties while on a moving train
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Excellent guest relations skills
  • Knowledge of food safety protocols
  • Ability to work as part of a team, and in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Basic understanding of culinary techniques for accurate order taking
