Job description

The Daily Wire is looking for a Social Platform Specialist with a sharp eye for the moments that make people stop scrolling. You’ll turn podcasts, debates, interviews, live events, and text-based content into timely, culturally resonant social assets. This hands-on role also supports scheduling, publishing, and performance tracking across assigned platforms. If you have strong editorial instincts, understand what works on social, and can move quickly from source material to compelling content, we want to hear from you.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Create and edit engaging short-form video and social assets from podcasts, debates, interviews, live events, and text-based content.
  • Identify culturally relevant, humorous, emotional, or conversation-driving moments with strong social potential.
  • Repurpose long-form content into compelling, platform-native clips optimized for engagement and audience behavior.
  • Enhance content with subtitles, on-screen text, motion graphics, and other creative elements tailored to each platform.
  • Support publishing and scheduling across platforms including YouTube, TikTok, Meta, X, and Reddit.
  • Write compelling titles, coordinate thumbnails, and optimize posting times, tags, and content categorization.
  • Monitor reach, engagement, watch time, retention, and other performance metrics, using insights and A/B testing to improve future content.
  • Collaborate with Platform Specialists and Social Leadership to align creative with platform strategy, performance goals, and publishing priorities.
Experience & Requirements
  • 2–3 years of hands-on short-form video editing or clipping experience, or an equivalent portfolio demonstrating relevant skills.
  • Proficiency in video editing software such as Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar, with a strong eye for pacing, subtitles, motion graphics, and on-screen text.
  • Deep understanding of major social platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, TikTok, Reddit, and Snapchat.
  • Strong instincts for social-first content, audience engagement, emerging trends, and what makes content perform.
  • Interest in and familiarity with the political, cultural, and editorial news landscape.
  • Strong understanding of the Daily Wire brand, voice, and Talent.
  • Working knowledge of platform analytics tools and ability to use performance data to inform creative decisions.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with excellent proofreading, grammar, and written communication skills.
