The Company
Classic video games deserve better. At Digital Eclipse, we treat them with the same care and respect given to other artistic mediums. In its original incarnation in 1994, Digital Eclipse pioneered accurate video game re-releases, emulating vintage arcade games well before "emulation" was a household word. 30 years later, we've been reborn as a new kind of studio - one dedicated to not only restoring gaming's heritage, but to preserving it and keeping it alive and available for future generations.
We've launched critically acclaimed titles like Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita's Rewind, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection, and Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration, while also developing successful original IPs like #IDARB and collaborating with industry leaders such as Capcom and Disney. And we're just getting started.
The Role
As a Senior Producer at Digital Eclipse, you'll play a key leadership role in shaping and shipping some of the studio's most exciting projects. In this role, you'll lead multiple game projects across internal and external teams, balancing priorities while driving schedules, quality, and delivery. You'll partner closely with cross-disciplinary leads and external development teams, provide guidance, and mentorship to producers, and help establish scalable best practices for remote production and co-development workflows.
Reporting to the Head of Production, this role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on how projects run at Digital Eclipse, contributing both hands-on production leadership and thoughtful process improvements that support the studio's creative goals and long-term growth.
What You'll Do
  • Lead multiple game projects concurrently, balancing priorities and guiding them toward successful, high-quality releases.
  • Manage internal teams and collaborate with key external development partners, ensuring alignment with schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Manage producers and cross-functional collaborators, providing guidance on best practices, production workflows, and remote collaboration strategies.
  • Help define and improve scalable production practices for working with external development teams as DE expands its publishing and co-development capabilities.
  • Act as a key production point of contact on high-profile partnerships, contributing to relationships that support the studio's continued growth.
  • Share learnings and production strategies with the broader team, fostering cross-discipline understanding and professional development studio-wide.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Production to contribute to early project planning-including scoping, resource planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Drive the success of projects from pre-production to launch, ensuring strong communication, milestone tracking, and accountability at every phase.
  • Continue developing project management expertise while working with studio management to explore potential opportunities and training programs for SCRUM/Agile certification.

Must Haves
  • 8+ years' experience in a production role in the videogame industry
  • Demonstrated ability to produce project results across multiple departments
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Great relationship-building skills
  • Solid knowledge of Jira, Google Docs, and MS Office
  • Ability to commute or relocate to the Emeryville, California area

Bonus Points
  • Passion for video games, especially retro games
  • Contributed extensively to the development for at least two shipped console games
  • Experience with 1st party portals and submission process
  • Detail orientation without forgetting the bigger picture
  • Additional skills outside of production, including art, writing, coding, scripting, etc., that could assist in a game development environment
  • University-level degree

Compensation, Benefits + Perks:
  • Salary range: $115,000 - $140,000. Salary commensurate with skills, qualifications and experience.
  • Medical and dental benefits
  • 15+ paid holidays + PTO
  • Opportunity to work with a passionate and dedicated team.
  • A friendly office with collaborative and talented colleagues, an arcade, and rooftop deck to enjoy office lunches and BBQs
