Job description

Lead Home Inspector & Operations Manager | W-2 | Company Vehicle + Full Equipment | Austin, TX

InspectMore is a growing home inspection company serving the Greater Austin metro area. We’re looking for our first Lead Inspector — someone who wants to be more than an employee. This is a chance to build something from the ground up alongside ownership, with real earning upside and zero out-of-pocket costs.

This is a W-2 position — not 1099. You get the stability of employment with the upside of commission.

How You’re Paid:
  • A guaranteed base ($3,500/month for your first 3 months, $3,000/month after that), OR
  • Commission: 40% of every inspection + 50% of every add-on service you sell

Once your commission volume passes the base, you’re paid on commission — no cap. Inspectors averaging 20+ inspections/month are earning $60K–$75K+ annually. After your first year, hitting target volume bumps your base to $3,500 and your commission rate to 42%.

On top of that:
  • Up to $250/month in operations bonuses (vehicle care, Google reviews)
  • $500/month performance bonus for hitting volume + pricing + add-on targets
  • $50/inspection, forever, for any real estate agent relationship you bring in
What We Cover — 100%:
  • Company vehicle (maintained, insured, fueled)
  • Full equipment: drone, sewer scope, thermal camera, foundation level tool, pool testing kit
  • Business insurance
  • Scheduling, invoicing, and client follow-up handled by our back officeAll marketing and lead generation

Your focus is simple: show up, inspect thoroughly, build relationships with agents, and represent the company well in the field.

What You’ll Do:
  • Perform residential and commercial home inspections
  • Build relationships with real estate agents through in-person visits
  • Offer add-on services (termite, pool, sewer scope, drone roof, foundation) where relevant
  • Represent the company professionally in every client and agent interaction
  • Take good care of your company vehicle and equipment
What You Need:
  • Active TREC Professional Inspector License (required)
  • Minimum 2 years of home inspection experience
  • Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check
  • Strong communication skills — you’ll often be the primary point of contact for clients and agents
  • Comfortable working independently and managing your own schedule
  • Motivated by growth and commission upside, not just a flat paycheck
Why This Role:

We’re early-stage and building carefully — which means the person we hire now has real influence over how this company operates and grows. If you’ve been doing inspections for a few years and are ready for more ownership over your income and your day, this is worth a conversation.
