What is a Cap Exempt Data Analyst?

A Cap Exempt Data Analyst is a data analyst working for an employer that is exempt from the annual H-1B visa cap, such as certain nonprofit organizations, higher education institutions, or government research organizations. These employers can sponsor H-1B visas for qualified data analysts at any time of year, without being restricted by the usual numerical limits. The role itself involves collecting, interpreting, and using data to help organizations make informed business decisions, but the 'cap exempt' designation refers specifically to the employer's ability to sponsor foreign workers outside of the standard H-1B lottery process.
