The School of Counseling and Counseling Psychology within in the College of Integrative Sciences and Arts of Arizona State University invite applications to establish a pool for Faculty Associates for the 2023-2025 academic years. The successful candidate(s) will teach graduate courses; prepare class materials; evaluate student work; and hold office hours to assist students. Faculty Associate positions are one semester, non-benefits-eligible, fixed-term appointments with no tenure implications, not to exceed an average of .40 FTE per semester. The number of courses is contingent upon unit needs, funding, and sufficient enrollment. Salary is based upon qualifications and assigned teaching load.
SCCP is home to an APA-accredited doctoral program in counseling psychology, a master's program in clinical mental health counseling approved by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners, and undergraduate majors in psychology (PSY) and counseling and applied psychological science (CAP). The CAP Bachelor of Science is one of the first in the nation at a large, public research institution. Our undergraduate programs are located at the Polytechnic campus and via ASU Online. Currently, we have more than 700 undergraduate majors. Our master's program in clinical mental health counseling is approved by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners. We recently developed a specialization track in school counseling and are approved to develop a Spanish certificate program for mental health professionals. We are launching the online master's program in clinical mental health counseling in Fall of 2024.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:

• Doctorate in counseling psychology, counselor education, or related field at time of appointment
• Experience teaching and/or clinical supervision
• Ability to teach in digital environments such as Canvas (asynchronously and/or synchronously)
• Commitment to advancing the ASU Charter

Desired Qualifications:

• Evidence of effective teaching and/or clinical supervision in higher education
• Licensed as a counselor or psychologist
• Experience teaching in digital environments such as Canvas (asynchronously and/or synchronously)
• Evidence of activities consistent with the ASU Charter and Design Aspirations
