Job description

Lead the division implementation and continued utilization of process improvement solutions and Computer Assisted Ordering (CAO) to increase efficiencies, decrease cost, and improve the customer shopping experience. Coordinate division communications and training efforts around Freshness & Standards solutions. Execute company standards and initiatives to reduce associate and customer accidents in store, protect company assets and support a culture of safety. Develop goals/strategies for implementation of company/division Safety and OSHA compliance initiatives. Identify/coordinate Safety initiatives in collaboration with corporate/division Operations and Merchandising management. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.Minimum

- Provide leadership for division department teams and field specialists on all CAO and process improvement related matters
- Utilize key tools and metrics (e.g., Business Objects, Store Manager Workbench, etc.) to evaluate performance, recognize trends, and analyze operations to effectively improve freshness, in stock and drive sales and exceed the customer's expectations
- Oversee the execution of best practices and partner with leaders and associates to evaluate the effectiveness of new processes, resets, store closings/openings, etc.
- Discuss performance metrics, progress reports and financial data with division executives, administrative department heads, and other key stakeholders on a regular cadence; evaluate and refine solutions needed to attain strategic targets
- Engage store leaders to identify talent and recruit associates to assist with implementation processes
- Facilitate training programs and train-the-trainer sessions to successfully educate division leaders and associates on each process improvement solution or CAO process
- Travel to division stores, offices and corporate locations for meetings, training and to implement and evaluate processes and solutions
- Partner with division leadership to identify safety opportunities by establishing programs, auditing for compliance and communicating awareness
- Maintain Food Safety and ECOLAB ownership for the division through education, reporting, and follow-up
- Identify, analyze and communicate a path to improvement of the bottom 20% of in stock and safety compliance stores
- Maintain relationships and represent company interest with local, state, and federal enforcement and regulatory compliance agencies
- Conduct weekly store visits, focusing on total store customer service, best practices, identifying opportunities and defining processes for improvement in all areas; maintain availability after hours/weekends
