Job description

Discover a place where wonder, adventure and relaxation meet. Gateway Canyons Resort & Spa rests on 180 acres in the red rock canyons of western Colorado. 72 room luxury Resort with amenities that include lodging, dining, UTV and Jeep tours, horseback riding, full service spa & air tours.
Our Security Team provides and maintains a safe, secure and serene environment for Guests and Associates.
โ€ข Maintains a high level of awareness.
โ€ข Works alone (often at night over 1 hour away from law enforcement assistance) and is self motivated to accomplish daily operations.
โ€ข Handles sensitive information and valuable property with integrity and confidentiality.
โ€ข Maintains a professional appearance, demeanor and attitude.
โ€ข Is responsible for:
o Patrol (foot and vehicle of all properties and facilities)
o Monitors and operates Security Camera Systems
o Handles change orders for the Resort
o Handles lost and found
o Investigation and report writing
o Responds to all burglar/fire/trouble alarms
o Responds to associate and guest calls for service
o Responds to all incidents and coordinates with General Manager/EMS/Fire/Law
o Secures designated areas at the appropriate times
o Loss prevention
o Maintains security vehicles and equipment
Full time, year round position; $20.00-$22.00/hour

Requirements
Essential:
  • Applicant must be 21 years of age or older
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Criminal-free record
  • Valid drivers license
  • Excellent driving record
  • Able to drive all company vehicles

Desirable:
  • First Aid/CPR/AED training
  • College degree
  • Experience in Hospitality Industry in similar position
  • Experience in Security, Military, or law enforcement
  • Previous guest relations training
