The Barista position is responsible for creating high-quality coffee and beverage experiences while delivering warm, attentive service to every guest. This role plays a key part in activating the cafe or lobby environment, maintaining a clean and welcoming space, and ensuring consistent product quality and efficiency during both peak and off-peak hours. You must have strong customer service skills with a friendly, outgoing, and professional demeanor.


Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Basic knowledge of coffee and espresso beverages, or willingness to learn quickly
Comfort operating cafe equipment and learning new systems and technology
Reliable, punctual, and able to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
Clear and effective communication skills
Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask

Requirements

Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including espresso drinks, brewed coffee, tea, and specialty cafe items according to recipes and presentation standards
Greet guests, answer menu questions, and provide recommendations in a friendly and knowledgeable manner
Operate espresso machines, grinders, brewers, blenders, and other cafe equipment safely and correctly
Maintain cleanliness and organization of counters, equipment, condiment stations, and guest seating areas
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and cash-handling procedures
Restock cups, lids, syrups, milks, pastries, and other supplies; communicate low inventory to leadership
Accurately enter and process orders using the POS system, handling cash and credit card transactions responsibly
Assist with light food preparation and plating of pastries or cafe items as needed
Complete opening and closing duties, including setup, breakdown, and end-of-day cleaning
Work collaboratively with team members and other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience
