Position Overview:
Reporting to the Management team, our Sales Associates understand that Retail is a billboard for the brand. They take pride in being a professional, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable brand ambassador inside and outside the store to ensure the Company's success within the recreational cannabis landscape. Our Sales Associates are curious, thoughtful, and sales-oriented people who impart cannabis wisdom and create positive customer relationships to build a loyal customer base.
Requirements
Job Functions:

  • Advise customers on suitable cannabis products based on their needs, preferences, budgets, and reactions to different strains of cannabis
  • Demonstrate an elevated level of cannabis knowledge and curate experiences that go beyond expectations
  • Create intentional experiences for customers by building authentic relationships; exceed the customers' expectations by delivering exceptional service
  • Drive customer visit goals and increase the number of returning customers; successfully achieve sales goals and business metrics
  • Pick & pack orders
  • Accurately handle cash transactions by operating the point-of-sale system, maintaining precise register balances in accordance with company cash handling procedures
  • Seek opportunities to contribute to and improve business results daily
  • Adhere to all company training and operational standards and procedures
  • Be knowledgeable around company communication, rollouts, directives, and procedures
  • Abide by all company policies and programs
  • Adhere to all legislative requirements of cannabis retailers, including federal, state and DCC laws and regulations
  • Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • High school diploma
  • Hiring preference will be given to those candidates with open availability
  • Open availability is defined as the ability to work all hours required without restrictions, including days, evenings, weekends, overnight shifts, and holidays.
  • All employees must be able to work 2 weekend days (Friday-Sunday), but management reserves the right to assign days depending on workforce needs

Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Ability to stand and remain on feet for the duration of a scheduled shift - at least 4 hours per shift for part-time roles and up to 8 hours per shift for full-time roles
  • Ability to bend, kneel, squat, and twist
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to handle and count currency and operate a POS system

Schedule:
  • All newly onboarded employees will be scheduled part-time. Full-time status is based on seniority.
