Job description

Job Title: Research Coordinator

Grade: 13

Salary: $51,058-$61,101

The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a Full-time Research Coordinator position. The full-time Research Coordinator for grant-funded, human laboratory studies on cannabis will be responsible for facilitating enrollment, screening, data collection and management, and regulatory compliance. Applicants should have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Organizational skills, attention to detail, good judgment, and the ability to work independently are critical components of this position. The hours for this position are as follows: Monday - Friday; 9:00am - 5:00pm; occasional evenings (3:30-11:30pm) and weekends (daytime/evening) anticipated approximately 1-2x per month. - Flexible availability required (position includes occasional evening and weekend shifts)

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Research Coordinator will work under the supervision of the Principal Investigators of the Cannabis Research Laboratory to implement grant-funded research studies. This includes recording participants' behaviors, communicating with participants, and recording/managing data. Incumbent will assist in daily operational activities, participant phone and in-person screening, data collection, transfer and entry, regulatory compliance, petty cash and credit card handling, vitals measurement (e.g. blood pressure, heart rate, carbon monoxide, breathalyzer), food handling, and inventory maintenance. They will oversee junior members of the lab, including part-time and volunteer staff. They will also help with grant submissions and Institutional Review Board compliance. Must be willing to obtain certification in phlebotomy (through NYSPI).

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and (1) year of relevant experience behavioral science research required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least (2) years of experience with data entry, database use, and behavioral research experience.
  • At least (1) years of experience with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with REDCap.
