Job description

Title: CDL A Delivery Specialist (Part Time)Manager: Distribution SupervisorLocation: Preferred Location QueensPay: $23.00-$26.00 / hr. Overview: The CDL Delivery Specialist's primary responsibility will be to ensure the safe, efficient and timely delivery of packages.  This position requires a pre-paid stay overnight in the Rochester area. Cirona Labs is looking for a driver who can work two days out of the week. Hours range from 16-30 hours per week.  Key ResponsibilitiesDelivery OperationsExecute daily route plans for assigned territory; complete all scheduled stops within time windowsTransport cannabis products in temperature-controlled or standard vehicles as required, maintaining product integrity throughout transitVerify and reconcile delivery manifests in Canix/METRC at point of pickup and delivery; ensure all transfers are accurately recorded before departureObtain authorized signatures at each stop and maintain delivery confirmations for compliance recordsReturn undeliverable product, rejected orders, and required documentation to the hub in accordance with OCM chain-of-custody requirements Compliance & DocumentationMaintain a current DOT-compliant driver qualification file including valid CDL, medical certificate, and any required endorsementsComplete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR) every shift; report defects immediately to the Distribution ManagerAdhere to all Hours of Service (HOS) regulations; maintain accurate logs as requiredFollow all OCM manifest and transfer documentation procedures; never depart without a complete, system-verified manifestComply with Cirona Labs drug-free workplace policy; CDL holders are subject to DOT drug and alcohol testing program Vehicle & EquipmentOperate assigned box trucks or reefer vehicles (Class A or B); perform basic maintenance checks (fluids, tires, lights)Keep vehicle interior clean and organized; ensure cargo is properly secured and temperature maintained per product handling SOPsReport any accidents, incidents, or near-misses immediately per Cirona Labs reporting protocolsUtilize tablet/ELD device for manifest management, navigation, and communication with dispatch Customer & Team InteractionRepresent Cirona Labs professionally at all licensed dispensary locations; maintain a courteous, service-oriented demeanorCommunicate proactively with dispatch and Distribution Manager regarding route changes, delays, or delivery exceptionsCoordinate with warehouse pickers and supervisors at hub departure to confirm order accuracy prior to loading QualificationsRequiredValid New York State CDL Class A or Class B with clean MVR (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years; no DUI/DWI)Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate (valid medical card)Minimum 2 years CDL commercial driving experience, preferably in distribution, logistics, or regulated industriesAbility to pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and be enrolled in DOT random testing poolPhysically able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.; perform repetitive loading/unloading activitiesComfortable with tablet-based delivery management systems and digital documentationStrong attention to detail; ability to accurately process manifest documents and chain-of-custody paperwork Work EnvironmentCirona Labs operates within a licensed cannabis distribution environment.
