Cane Bay Veterinary Clinic is looking for a smart, motivated, capable person who wants to learn veterinary medicine from the ground up.

Experience is welcome - but it is not required.

This position is designed for someone interested in growing into a Veterinary Technician role over time. We are looking for someone who doesn't just want a job in a veterinary clinic, but wants to develop skills, take on increasing responsibility, and build a career in veterinary medicine.

You do not need previous veterinary experience to have these qualities.

We can teach veterinary skills.

We're looking for someone who brings the attitude, ability, curiosity, and work ethic that make those skills worth teaching.

You'll start by learning the foundations of working safely and effectively in a veterinary hospital, including:

• Fear Free patient handling and restraint
• Preparing exam rooms and treatment areas
• Assisting veterinary technicians and doctors
• Patient care and comfort
• Hospital cleanliness, organization, and infection-control standards
• Preparing for appointments and procedures
• Veterinary terminology and basic medical knowledge
• Laboratory procedures and equipment
• Efficient hospital and appointment flow
• Client service and communication
• How a high-functioning veterinary team works together

As your knowledge, judgment, and technical abilities grow, so will your responsibilities.

Our goal is to develop the right person - not keep you at the assistant level forever.
