Job description

Position Title: Candy Production 
Associate Department: Candy Department 
Location: Corporate HQ / Hayes Plant 
Reports To: Candy Department Supervisor 
Scope of Position Candy Associates play a critical role in the production and packaging of confections and brittle. They are responsible for crafting high-quality peanut- and tree nut-based candy products through both manual and automated processes. This role requires a strong understanding of confectionery handling, food safety and quality practices, and attention to detail. 
Key Responsibilities 
-Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Understand and adhere to all food safety, quality and company standards 
- Represent and reflect a culture of food safety 
- Prepare and hand-dip peanut and tree nut clusters using traditional confectionery methods. 
- Ensure consistent quality, portioning, and appearance of finished products. 
- Monitor automated dipping operations to ensure the machine produces consistent, high-quality clusters. 
- Make adjustments or notify maintenance if inconsistencies or issues arise. 
- Accurately weigh ingredients and packages to ensure correct portions and compliance with labeling requirements 
- Safely operate a pallet jack 
- Perform designated sanitary operating procedures 
- Notifying the Department Supervisor and/or Management of any issues that cannot be properly addressed 
- May perform tasks for other departments, as needed 
Working Conditions 
- Standing 100% of the time 
- Ability to lift up to 25lbs. for short and long distances and 50 lbs. with assistance 
- Compliance with personal protective equipment (PPE) 
- No jewelry allowed in production areas 
Minimum Qualifications - Previous manufacturing experience is preferable
