Kitchen Float - Packaging, Production & Prep
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Pay: $18-$21/hour (DOE)
Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision after 90 days

JARS Cannabis is a fast-growing company committed to quality, consistency, and innovation in the cannabis industry. We are looking for a reliable and adaptable Kitchen Float to support our high-volume production team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in packaging, production, and prep while growing your skills in a supportive environment.


Position Summary

The Kitchen Float will work across multiple kitchen stations, supporting packaging, production, and prep tasks as needed. Ideal candidates are dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced food production environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Perform float duties across all kitchen stations and consistently meet production quotas

  • Operate commercial kitchen equipment (ovens, mixers, scales, packaging machines)

  • Prep, label, pack, and ship a variety of products

  • Assist with candy making, beverage production, and dishwashing

  • Maintain high sanitation, hygiene, and safety standards

  • Accurately document production data and follow all SOPs and recipes

  • Support additional tasks as assigned by supervisors or managers


Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of experience in food production, pastry, or candy-making environment

  • 1-2 years of experience making cannabis edibles (preferred)

  • Basic math skills for scaling recipes and measuring ingredients

  • SERV Safe Food Handler's Card (required)

  • AZDHS Facility Agent Card (preferred)

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/sit for 8-10 hours

  • Reliable transportation

  • Strong time management and communication skills


Working Conditions
  • Fast-paced kitchen/production environment with variable temperatures

  • Exposure to common allergens (peanuts, dairy, etc.)

  • Strict dress code: no loose clothing, artificial nails, or jewelry

  • Company-provided T-shirts, aprons, and smocks

  • Employees must wear black pants and black non-slip work shoes
