Candy Delivery Driver Jobs (NOW HIRING)

River Street Sweets is seeking a dependable, safety-focused Delivery Driver to join our team. This role is ideal for a professional driver who takes pride in their work, values consistency, and wants a positive environment with a successful company culture.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

• Safely operate a non-CDL box truck for deliveries to company retail and restaurant locations
• Delivery's to and from our Candy stores and Restaurants
• Determines the condition of vehicle by inspecting vehicle before and after use; logging inspection; reporting requirements
• Maintains safe vehicle and conditions and protects load by complying with organization policies, procedures, highway rules and regulations.
• Unloads truck by use of hand truck or dolly
• Maintains records by completing DOT driver log.
• Maintains appearance of delivery truck by daily cleaning of the inside of the truck.
• Requests routine truck maintenance by completing written maintenance request form
• Performs duties in a safe manner by following established safety rules and regulations.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.

The Delivery Driver will meet the following requirements:

• Must have a valid Driver's License (non-CDL) and be able to operate a box delivery truck in a safe and efficient manner
• A minimum of 5 yrs. driving work experience is required
• Clear MVR is required
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License
• Must have general knowledge of DOT regulations and proven history of safe driving.
• Must pass DOT Physical
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Ability to problem solve
• Basic understanding of shipping/receiving and inventory control principals
• Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pays attention to detail and meet deadlines

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that an employee must meet to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to handle, feel, and manipulate objects; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The ability to communicate effectively, including talking and hearing, is also required. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.
