We are now accepting applications for the Candy and Mercantile Department Manager at the Boone, NC location.


PROFILE OF A DEPARTMENT MANAGER

Leads, coaches, trains, and manages by example. Understands, articulates and models how to work effectively in a team environment. Exudes and promotes a positive attitude and positive energy every day with both the staff and the guest and employees. Builds and maintains favorable working relationships at all levels. Is dedicated to learning from others, sharing information and asking questions. Demonstrates professionalism in work, dress, language and behavior. They responsibly embrace and adapt to change in work environments and processes.


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Some essential duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Partners with the Store Training Coordinator in the training and orientation of department new hires.

• Manages, coaches and is responsible for the day-to-day supervision and development of the store staff.

• Is responsible for the professional development of their employees. Leads, coaches, mentors, and provides opportunities for growth.

• Trains, demonstrates, and coaches for exceptional guest and employee experiences.

• Partners with the Visual Merchandising Team in the planning of department layout.

• Ensures that the department is properly merchandised

Requirements:
