We will start hiring for this position in July, with the anticipation of starting in August.

Job Summary:
Seasonal Shipping Specialists are responsible for packaging and preparing all Antique Candle Co.® orders for shipping within a 1-2 day turnaround time. Antique Candle Co.® candles are in retail stores and on our booming direct to consumer website which means we work in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will get to work in a fast, fun and friendly work setting while getting to make some of the best smelling candles around! We are currently looking for support beginning immediately through the end of the year!
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • No supervisory responsibilities at this time.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Executes a pick to cart system to pack and prepare shipments to maximize efficiency and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Keeps stock organized and easily accessible for shipment.
  • Replenishes shipping lines of packaging materials to ensure packers can consistently and efficiently ship out orders.
  • Packages wholesale and retail orders securely, in an aesthetically pleasing way and within the 1-2 business day turnaround time by meeting shipping quotas.
  • Completes shipping end of day tasks and 5S tasks daily.
  • Unloads pallets of raw materials and assists with weekly assigned cleaning tasks.
  • Supports the Production team in various candle making tasks on a regular basis.
  • Collaborates in a team environment that continuously brainstorms new processes to scale operations with the company's growth.
  • Champions the safety culture by always following safety guidelines and ensuring materials are organized.

Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to self-start and take initiative.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to function well in a team environment that is high-paced and at times (let's be honest, we're talking Q3 and Q4) stressful.
  • Ability to exhibit the small business mindset, even as the business grows.
  • Willingness to shift and be flexible with changing goals and timelines.

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Physical Requirements:
Medium work that includes moving objects up to 50 pounds.
Standing work approximately 90% of the time.
Operating machinery and/or power tools including but not limited to forklifts, pallet jacks and carts.
Environment Requirements:
Working in an environment with various fragrances and scents.
Travel Requirements:
No travel required.
Salary Description
