Job description

Permanent Physician - OB/GYN in Brattleboro, Vermont.
Permanent Physician - OB/GYN
Position Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Specialty: Physician - OB/GYN
Location: Brattleboro, VT.
Shift: Flexible 3–4-day work week, primarily daytime clinic hours

Position Details: Join a hospital-owned OB/GYN practice providing full-spectrum women’s health care in a collaborative, community-based environment.
Patient Population: Diverse community patient population; approximately 12–14 patients per day
Setting: Clinic, hospital, operating room, and birth center
Responsibilities: Provide full-spectrum obstetric and gynecologic care, manage gynecologic consults, perform office-based procedures, participate in minimally invasive and advanced laparoscopic surgeries, and provide physician backup for midwife-led obstetric care.
Required Procedures: Office-based gynecologic procedures, minimally invasive surgery, and advanced laparoscopic surgery
EMR System: Cerner
Support Staff: Physicians, certified nurse midwives, nurse practitioners, nurses, and medical assistants
Days Per Month: 3–4 clinic days per week with an average of 3 dedicated OR days per month
On-Call/Weekends: Home call on a shared 1-in-4 physician rotation as backup to midwives, including shared weekend home call
Submission Requirements:
- Required: MD or DO degree and completion of an accredited OB/GYN residency in the United States or Canada
- Required: Board Certified or truly Board Eligible in OB/GYN; if Board Eligible, provide graduation date
- Required: Clean malpractice history and most recent NPDB Self-Query Report within 30 days
- Required: Active Vermont license must be obtained prior to start
