  • Develop and implement regional health and safety policies, procedures, and training programs aligned with corporate standards and local regulations
  • Conduct regular site audits and inspections to identify hazards, assess risks, and recommend corrective actions
  • Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis, and implement preventative measures to reduce accidents
  • Ensure compliance with applicable health and safety regulations and standards across North America, South America, and Canada
  • Collaborate with operations management, human resources, and other departments to integrate health and safety practices into daily operations
  • Provide expert guidance and support to regional teams on risk assessments, emergency preparedness, and occupational health
  • Monitor and analyze health and safety performance data, identify trends, and develop continuous-improvement strategies
  • Manage and mentor a regional team of health and safety professionals
  • Prepare and present regular health and safety performance reports to the client and senior leadership
  • Stay informed about new health and safety legislation, industry best practices, and emerging risks
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive experience in health and safety management within logistics, manufacturing, or a similar industrial environment
  • Extensive knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards in North America, South America, and Canada, including OSHA, EPA, local equivalents, and provincial regulations
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective health and safety programs that drive tangible improvements
