Job description

The Basics

Location: Based in Minot, ND or surrounding area. There will be regular travel to other Bartlett and trade partner locations in the US Northern Plains and Canadian Prairies

Compensation: $70,000/yr and up

Days/Hours: This will be a full time day shift job but you may work late or on weekends as needed

Software used: Microsoft Office programs, messaging apps

What you’ll be doing:

  • Perform job tasks in compliance with Bartlett safety programs and procedures
  • Work with producers to analyze current agronomic practices and knowledgeably provide recommendations for improvement that best align with their operation
  • Document and upload agronomic data into certified third-party quantification online platforms
  • Report on sustainable outcomes to all levels of management and external Customers, while providing recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Help with other program responsibilities as necessary

 

Requirements to be successful in this position:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Crop Science or closely related field
  • Valid passport and driver’s license with satisfactory driving record
  • Achieve and maintain the General Certified Crop Advisor Certification
  • Two to three years’ experience with a certified agronomic retailer
  • Willingness to travel to facilities across the US Northern Plains and Canadian Prairies
  • Knowledgeable of computer operations; able to use Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Strong analytical skillset
  • Capable of writing and orally presenting reports to all levels of management internally and external Customers

Here are some of the physical requirements for this role:

  • This job will require both office and field work
    • Field work will require travel and engagement with producers at their operations and will involve all types of weather and temperature environments, along with exposure to noise and dust.
  • This job is not physically strenuous. You must be able to sit at a desk and be able to utilize computers and calculators
