What are Canada Code 10 Drivers?

Canada Code 10 Drivers are individuals licensed to operate certain classes of vehicles, most commonly large trucks, in South Africa and not in Canada. In South Africa, a Code 10 license allows drivers to operate vehicles with a gross vehicle mass (GVM) exceeding 3,500 kilograms, such as minibuses, small trucks, and vans. While the term 'Code 10' is specific to South Africa, internationally, including in Canada, heavy vehicle licenses are classified differently. If you are seeking employment in Canada with a Code 10 license, you may need to convert your license or obtain a Canadian equivalent, such as a Class 3 license for large commercial vehicles. Always check with local provincial authorities for the correct licensing requirements.
